Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements

The Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ filter elements are officially approved by New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. for use in Berkey® gravity-fed water filtration systems.

Designed as a high-performance and cost-effective alternative to Black Berkey® filters, they deliver premium water purification quality. Using activated coconut shell carbon processed at high temperature, these filters contain millions of micropores capable of adsorbing a wide range of contaminants found in drinking water.

Their dense and microporous structure efficiently removes sediments, rust, heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides and other impurities, while maintaining an excellent water flow rate. The resulting water is pure, neutral in taste, and retains essential minerals such as calcium and magnesium.

*NSF certification and online listing PENDING.Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ filter elements are NSF certified (42 and 372) when included in the complete gravity filtration system. Due to high demand for replacement filters, we are currently not offering filters in gravity filtration systems as the manufacturer is experiencing delays in processing replacement filter orders. They are currently working to obtain NSF certification for the filters themselves as standalone components.

The complete list of contaminants removed by the Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ filters is available in our FAQ, along with lab test results.

Main Features

  • Compatible with all Berkey® systems and most other gravity filtration systems.
  • Highly effective filtration: reduces or removes sediments, rust, turbidity, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, VOCs, PFAS, PFOA, PFOS, chlorine and other common contaminants.
  • Premium activated carbon made from CTC 60 coconut shells for exceptional adsorption capacity.
  • Advanced microfiltration: the microporous structure creates a “tortuous path” that traps undissolved particles efficiently.
  • Natural-tasting water: beneficial minerals (calcium, magnesium, etc.) are preserved, TDS remains unchanged.
  • Safe and durable materials: glass-fiber reinforced polymer, BPA-free, compliant with NSF/FDA food-grade standards.
  • Certified to NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 in progress
  • Quick and easy installation in the upper chamber of your Berkey® or other gravity system.
  • Compatible with Berkey PF-2® elements for fluoride and arsenic reduction.
  • Re-cleanable and reusable throughout their lifespan.
  • High flow rate: approximately 16 L/h when the upper chamber is full.

What are the results of the analysis of Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ filters?

The Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ filter elements have been tested by independent third-party laboratories to verify their ability to effectively remove or significantly reduce a wide range of concerning contaminants found in water — typically present in municipal water supplies in the United States and around the world — including: perfluorinated “forever chemicals” (PFAS, PFOA, and PFOS), synthetic organic compounds (SOC) from industrial and agricultural sources, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, volatile organic contaminants (VOC), and other common water pollutants, as well as unpleasant odors and tastes, among others.
